【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversalloysteelboltingmaterialsforpressurevessels,valves,flanges,andfittingsforlow-temperatureservice.Theterm"boltingmaterial"asusedinthisspecificationcoversrolled,forged,orstrainhardenedbars,bolts,screws,studs,andstudbolts.Thebarsshallbehot-wrought.Thematerialmaybefurtherprocessedbycenterlessgrindingorbycolddrawing.Austeniticstainlesssteelmaybesolutionannealedorannealedandstrain-hardened.Whenstrainhardenedausteniticstainlesssteelisordered,thepurchasershouldtakespecialcaretoensurethatAppendixX1isthoroughlyunderstood.Severalgradesarecovered,includingbothferriticandausteniticsteelsdesignatedL7,B8,etc.Selectionwilldependondesign,serviceconditions,mechanicalproperties,andlow-temperaturecharacteristics.Themechanicalrequirementsofindicatethediametersforwhichtheminimummechanicalpropertiesapplytothevariousgradesandclasses,andTable2stipulatestherequirementsforCharpyimpactenergyabsorption.Themanufacturershoulddeterminethatthematerialcanconformtotheserequirementsbeforepartsaremanufactured.Forexample,whenGradeL43isspecifiedtomeettheTable2impactenergyvaluesat-150?F[-101?C],additionalrestrictions(suchasprocuringasteelwithlowerPandScontentsthanmightnormallybesupplied)inthechemicalcompositionforAISI4340arelikelytoberequired.Note1--Thecommitteeformulatingthisspecificationhasincludedseveralgradesofmaterialthathavebeenratherextensivelyusedforthepresentpurpose.Othercompositionswillbeconsideredforinclusionbythecommitteefromtimetotimeastheneedbecomesapparent.Usersshouldnotethathardenabilityofsomeofthegradesmentionedmayrestrictthemaximumsizeatwhichtherequiredmechanicalpropertiesareobtainable.NutsforusewiththisboltingmaterialarecoveredinSectionandthenutmaterialshallbeimpacttested.SupplementaryRequirements(S1,S2,andS3)ofanoptionalnatureareprovided.Theyshallapplyonlywhenspecifiedintheinquiry,contractandorder.Thisspecificationisexpressedinbothinch-poundunitsandinSIunits.However,unlesstheorderspecifiestheapplicable"M"specificationdesignation(SIunits),thematerialshallbefurnishedtoinch-poundunits.Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.
