【摘要】:Thisguidancestandarddescribesgeneralproceduresforsurveyingzooplanktoninstandingwatersforthepurposesofwaterqualityassessmentanddeterminationofecologicalstatus.Guidanceonsamplingproceduresandthesubsequentstepsforpreservationandstoragearegiven.Thesamplingproceduresprovideestimateforspeciesoccurrenceandtheirabundance(relativeorabsolute),includingspatialdistributionandtemporaltrends,foragivenbodyofwater.Calculationofbiomassandproductionismadepossible.Thismethodisrestrictedtothesamplingofmulticellularzooplanktonthatinhabitthepelagicandlittoralregionsoflakes,reservoirsandponds.Thesamplingproceduremaybealsoemployedinslowrunningwatersandcanals.NOTEThefieldmethodsdescribedaresuitableforthecollectionofopen-waterplanktonandlittoralplanktonspecies.Theyareinappropriateforthecollectionoflittoralspeciesthatprimarilyliveonorinthesurfaceofsedimentsandonthesurfaceofaquaticplants.
