【摘要】:ThistestmethodprovidesabasisfortheestimationofthestoragestabilityofmiddledistillatefuelssuchasNo.2fueloil.Thetestmethodmaynotprovideapredictionofthequantityofinsolublesthatwillforminfieldstorageoveranygivenperiodoftime.Theamountofinsolublesformedinsuchfieldstorageissubjecttothespecificconditionswhicharetoovariableforthistestmethodtopredictaccurately.TestMethodD2274yieldsresultsmorerapidlythanTestMethodD4625,the43x00B0;Cbottletest.However,asaresultofthesignificantlyelevatedtemperatureandthepureoxygenatmosphere,thenatureandamountofinsolublesmaydeviatetoagreaterextentthanTestMethodD4625fromthoseformedinfieldstorage.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementoftheinherentstabilityofmiddledistillatepetroleumfuelsunderspecifiedoxidizingconditionsat95x00B0;C.Note18212;Fuelsusedinestablishingtheprecisionmeasuresforthistestmethodweredescribedasgasoil,dieselfuel,No.2heatingoil,andDFM,aNavydistillatefuelsuitablefordiesels,boilers,andgasturbines.(ThetermDFMisnolongerusedwhenreferringtofuelmeetingMIL-F-16884requirements;ratheritiscalledF76asitconformstoNATOF76requirements.)Whilethetestmethodmaybeusedforfuelsoutsidetherangeofthesefuels,theprecisionmeasuresmaynotapply.1.2Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletofuelscontainingresidualoil.Thistestmethodhasnotbeenvalidatedfortestingbiodiesel,suchasmeetingSpecificationD6751orblendsofmiddledistillatesandbiodiesel,suchasmeetingSpecificationD7467,orboth.TestMethodD7462hasbeendeterminedtobesuitablefortestingB100andallblendsofmiddledistillatesandbiodiesel.Note28212;No.1andNo.2gradesinSpecificationsD396orD975currentlyallowupto5%biodieselmeetingSpecificationD6751.Samplescontainingbiodieselcanresultinpartialdissolutionorcompromiseofthemembranefilterandgiveerroneousresults.1.3ThevaluesgiveninacceptableSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
